To use MyViewBoard, users must create a complimentary myViewBoard account at myViewBoard, myViewBoard provides the following options to sign up: Integrate an existing Google or Microsoft account: Click one of the following:
On the next window, grant permission to myViewBoard to access the user's Google or Microsoft account.
Sign up using an email provider:
On the myViewBoard sign up page, fill in the following details:
Unique myViewBoard name
Password
Select the checkbox for EULA agreement.
Click Sign Up.
After successful sign-up, perform the following steps:
An activation email will be sent to the account. Activate the account by clicking on the link in the activation email. After activation, sign in and set up a new myViewBoard account.
The first time you sign in, myViewBoard.com prompts the user to update the user's personal profile and account name settings.
Attend a MyViewBoard session, Once your myViewBoard account is activated, follow these steps to participate in the myViewBoard session:
To host a MyViewBoard session:
Sign in at https://myviewboard.com, and click on the 'Start a myViewBoard session' icon.
Click on the top right to see your session ID. Click on the session ID to see more sharing options. The next window provides three options for joining the myViewBoard session:
Login Code - Participants who are in the same room as the host
QR Code - Best for users who are using mobile devices
- URL link - send via instant message
Distribute the code to all participants, and wait for them to join the session using one of the above options.
Clicking on the session ID display's more options for inviting users to your sessions
To join a MyViewBoard session:
Go to https://myviewboard.com and click on the 'Join a myViewBoard sessions icon. No need to sign in.
On the new window, provide a name and a login code. The log in the code is the session ID provided by your myViewBoard host.
Google Classroom Integration. myViewBoard supports integration with Google Classroom. Integration allows you to add text created with a specific Google Classroom class. The following procedures assume that you already have an existing Google Classroom account, To enable integration, first bind your Google Classroom account with myViewBoard:
Go to the FollowMe AI tool.
Click Cloud Integration on the side menu.
Locate the Google Classroom from the list, and click Authorize. On the next screen, click Allow.
1) On the main toolbar, click the Magic Box icon.
2) Click on the Google Classroom logo
3) Find the class you want to bond with.
4) Click on Bind.
Once completed, you must provide a name for the text:
On the main toolbar, click the file management icon.
Click on the save icon.
Click on the Google Classroom logo.
Click Bind Google Classroom.
Later, create your text on the myViewBoard canvas. The bindings combine the text with one of your Google Classroom classes, and create a relationship between the open text and the Google Classroom class. Use the magic box to bind the text in Google Classroom:
If the text was not already bound, myViewBoard displays available Google classes. Select one to bind. If the text was previously bound, specify a name for the text, then click Post to Classroom.
It automatically creates a post on the Google Classroom Stream that your students can click to access the lesson.
Create a lesson, then tie your lesson to Google Classroom.
When you're ready to present, open the Google Classroom from within myViewBoard:
On the main toolbar, click the file management icon.
Click on the Open File icon.
Click on the Google Classroom logo.
Select Google Classroom.
Select a text to open.
Opening a saved Google Classroom does the following:
The saved text is loaded onto the canvas. The list in the side panel is automatically populated by your Google Classroom students. To invite more students, go to the Google Classroom People tab.
Opening the class automatically pulls the saved text into the class and into the students.
